I'm a fan of all kinds of fonts. A few years ago I learned to
write in all-caps wingdings by hand, and can still sort of read it.
I didn't like having to draw every finger on every hand every time
I used the letter B, so after a while each letter got simplified,
until a circled cross, the letter W, became a single-stroke
lollipop form not unlike a backwards capital P with a cowlick. Over
years I reached a critical point where the figures could not
possibly get any simpler. I learned a lot about design from this,
as the script mutated freely-- I didn't have to worry that anyone
