AKA phonograph or gramophone records. At first, the discs were commonly made from shellac; starting in the 1940s polyvinyl chloride became common, hence the name vinyl. This tag is actively used only for Uses after 1991. Before that year, vinyl records were the norm, see Album Art from between 1939 and 1991. See also shellac records, compact discs (CDs), and compact cassettes.
The Album Art format includes all art related to music packaging.
