A set of ornate concave caps with trifurcated serifs and contour, or double inline. Origin unclear. Shown in Photo-Lettering’s Alphabet Thesaurus Vol. 2 (1965) as Queen Victoria, together with a solid variant named Grand Old Coach. Shown in the Solotype Catalog (1992) as Carillon Condensed.
Trefoil Capitals (Paul Lloyd, 2002) and Purcell (Scriptorium, 2010?) are digital interpretations of the same design, but are wider. For the lack of a better option, the sample uses Trefoil Capitals, condensed and adjusted.
