A Tuscan with SE split shade and whiskers-like mid-stem ornamentation. AKA Stellar. Originated at Cincinnati Type Foundry as Ornamented No. 22J or at Bruce as Ornamented No. 1046, about 1860. [McGrew] Also cast by Caslon, c. 1865 (revived 1884).
