A formal script issued by Bauer in mager and kräftig (1895) weights [Reichardt 2011]. Other sources suggest a later date, and mention the initial weight as a new design in 1908 [Buchdrucker-Zeitung]. A bolder weight was added before 1916 [Archiv], or in 1913–1914 [Wetzig 1926–40], and is shown in Klimschs Jahrbuch vol. 16, indicating a 1914-1920 date. Shown in a 1970s Neufville catalog with names in four languages, as Lithographia / Graphic Script / Lithographie / Litografia.
