Issued by Headliners as (neo-)Romantique before 1977, in six weights with alternates for ‘aersHS’. Used already in 1976. Similar to Syncopation (Headliners, c.1970) by Acey Cypres, but with contrasted letterforms and serifs. It’s not confirmed that Romantique was drawn by Cypres, too.
Also shown under the alias Argos in Castcraft’s 1978 catalog, in four weights named Aguila, Andromeda, Apus, Ara; with the same alternates.
Digitally available as TF Romantique (Joe Treacy, Treacyfaces) in eight weights plus italics.
