This entry is for Letraset’s Locarno, an adaptation of Rudolf Koch’s Koch-Antiqua (Klingspor, 1922), which was sold abroad under the name Locarno. Started with the Italic in 1985, and expanded with Light, Medium, Bold, and Extra Bold styles in 1986. A 1987/1988 catalog credits Alan Meeks with the Italic and Light, and Letraset with the rest. Daines credits the whole series to Letraset’s type director, Colin Brignall. [Faces from Letraset] The digital version by ITC spans the Light and Italic only.
