Designed by Doyald Young in 1984. Issued in 1986 by Letraset [ad in U&lc Vol. 13 No. 1] and later by ITC. ICG’s digital version (1992) came with a second style that includes many of the original alternates. Monotype’s version (2015) is based on ICG’s, but omits all the alternates. Also distributed under the Image Club label.
Creampuff (1999) is an unauthorized freebie digitization by Nick Curtis, based on a Letraset catalog. Curtis claims he was not aware of Eclat being available in digital form at the time.
