A shadow-only sans serif designed in-house at Berthold in 1932. [Seemann] No lowercase. Advertised as a shadow companion to Berthold-Grotesk (1928), together with Plastica, although a number of glyphs are different in structure, and have more in common with Nobel (identical with Schaduw Nobel Kapitalen?) Not to be confused with Ludlow’s Umbra (1932).
