Li Sung (儷宋) was originally designed by Sammy Or at China Type, and named after his second daughter Li (“Sung” is the equivalent to “Roman”). Li Hei (儷黑) is a gothic counterpart. The Li series were the first Chinese typefaces to be designed in vector on a computer (using Fontographer). [Peiran Tan] A light weight was adopted by Apple and included in Mac OS as Apple LiSung (©Apple, 1992–1998) and also as LiSong Pro (©DynaComware, 2003). DynaComware’s retail version spans 3 weights.
