faux-Asian alphabet by Ross F. George shown in a Speedball
Lettering catalog from 1935 [Fili & Heller via Devroye], with added
lowercase. Film type versions named Peking are shown
by Filmotype and in Photoscript’s catalog from 1968. Shown in the
Solotype catalog as Hong Kong, with a stencil variant
named Beijing.
OPTI Peking (Castcraft, 1990–1991, used for sample)
is a digital interpretation. There are various freebie copies of
mixed quality including Orient 1 (A&L / Computer
Support Corporation, 1996), China One (1997),
Konfuzius and Taipeh (both by Brendel,
1994), Rickshaw (Fantazia), and Bonzai
