Tratex (earlier called GePos) is the typeface used for road signs in Sweden. Originally designed by Kåge Gustavsson, it was further developed by Chester Bernsten following the introduction of reflective road signs in the 1970s. The font was then tested and expanded to feature both upper- and lowercase characters, for light and dark backgrounds. Also supports Sami characters. It is freely available to download from the Swedish Transport Agency, Transportstyrelsen. [Wikipedia]
