Issued by Flinsch in 1902 in two weights. [Reichardt 2011] Shown in Petzendorfers Schriftenatlas (1905) as Franconia, with alternates for ‘EHLMT’, and in Klimschs Jahrbuch 1907 as Frankonia (both weights).
A phototype version is shown in Lettergraphics’ 1968 catalog as Francon. Face had a revival as Franconia, too (with alts, before 1974).
Digitizations include Ariosto (David Nalle, 1993), Franconia MF (Rick W. Mueller, 1994; with alternates, used for sample), Sundra Display Caps Bold (WSI, 1993, 1996; caps only), and Franconia (Dan X. Solo, 1998).
