Designed by Lucian Bernhard and first cast in 1928 by Bauer. Extended with fett (1930), Kursiv and Licht (open, 1932), halbfett and Kursiv halbfett styles. Lucian Buchschrift (AKA Bernhard-Buch, 1932, cast in 8, 10 and 12 pt [Wetzig 1926–40]) with Kursiv were cuts intended for book sizes. [Reichardt 2011] Also known as Bernhard Roman/Italic/Cursive.
