The Ventures – Wild Things! album art Contributed by Diego S. on Apr 27th, 2019. Artwork published in September 1966. Source: www.etsy.com Photo: ThisVinylLife. License: All Rights Reserved. Wild Things! is a 1966 album by American instrumental rock band The Ventures. The cover was art directed by Woody Woodward, with photography by Peter Whorf. The typeface seems to be a bold weight of Europa Grotesque, with arrowheads added to the middle bar of E. This treatment became The Ventures’ de facto band logo for a while and appeared on a number of subsequent releases, see e.g. Go With The Ventures (1966), The Versatile Ventures, Guitar Freakout, $1,000,000.00 Weekend (1967), The Horse, and Flights Of Fantasy (1968).
