The University of Texas at Austin is a Tier-One research university and the flagship institution of The University of Texas System. Dyal and Partners was retained by the University to develop a comprehensive academic brand identity that could be employed throughout academic colleges and Central Administration Units of the University. Working closely with the University Brand Marketing and Creative Services group, and senior University leadership, Dyal developed the identity that rolled out as a soft launch in late 2014.

Selected for its contemporary yet scholarly appearance, the typeface used is GT Sectra. The secondary typeface is Benton Sans.

This flexible system for an expansive institution required the development of hundreds of unique lock-ups and a user-friendly set of Guidelines.

  1. I love this font combination: wonderful!

By the way: Brian Willson, who digitized many old scripts, studied here. He also wrote a book named Lydia and founded Three Islands Press.

After a fulfilling working life, he settled in Maine with his dog. Many greetings to him!
