Grizzly Griptape is “the leading griptape company in skateboarding, featuring technical outdoor and athletic goods”, established in 2001. Instead of having a single logo, Grizzly Griptape uses a variety of wordmarks for its visual identity. There are three recurring themes: the stenciled ITC Portago (1997, sometimes with a bear as ‘i’ dot, no kerning for the ‘LY’ pair), the cursive Amplify (2013), and a lowercase grotesque (without dot) that, oddly enough, appears to reference the Adidas typeface, AdiNeue.
