Trafton Script (a.k.a. Quick) was a popular script face for American school yearbooks in the 1940s and ’50s. The 1943 yearbook for this Atlanta-area women’s college is designed around Trafton, with a recurring ribbon motif that echoes the typeface’s strokes. In some places, where large text is required lettering based on Trafton replaces the font.

  1. That’s not Kabel; it’s Vogue with its interesting Kabel-inspired alternates.

  2. Thank you for combing through the archives! Typeface credits adjusted.

  3. Good catch, Bryson! And makes more sense as many of these American yearbooks were set with Intertype machines.
