Digital Meaning is a digital marketing, design and development shop in San Francisco. Their own website uses Dapifer (Darden Studio) as primary typeface, paired with League Gothic for headlines. Dapifer is an contemporary interpretation of the “Old Style” serif genre, with unbracketed serifs. The combination of classic proportions with rational slab serif-like detailing makes for a unique texture of text. Its low stroke contrast is an asset when used in smaller sizes on screen.

Love to see Dapifer being used online. Though very much contemporarized, there’s still some William Morris wrapped deep inside.
