In 1981, New York firm Anspach Grossman Portugal updated the Texaco logo from its 1965 version, reducing the various framing elements elements to focus on the iconic star. This simple mark is still in use today. The type is basically Helvetica Black, with an extended middle crossbar on the ‘E’.

I am VP of the Johnstown (NY) Historical Society. We are selling inscribed bricks for a walkway as a fundraiser. One of our donors would like to use the Texaco Star logo on their brick in honor of their grandparents who owned a Texaco station in Johnstown on the 1960's.

How can they get permission to use the logo?
