This landmark electronic record is Isao Tomita’s synthesizer rendition of a classical piece by Gustav Holst. A modified Sinaloa emphasizes the futuristic quality of the music. The typeface was already tied to Tomita’s identity, first used for 1975 albums Firebird and Pictures at an Exhibition, but this rendition took Sinaloa to new dimensions with extended strokes and 3D effects. The designer is not explicitly credited, but “artwork” is by Stanislaw Fernandes whose airbrush painting incorporates the ‘T’ from the typeface.
