“This is a logo owned by Microsoft for Xbox (console). It is a historical logo. Its historical usage is as follows: 2001–2005, 2008–2010. Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer introduces original Xbox until 2001, and later Xbox 360 was introduced in 2005. Microsoft stopped using this original video game console and his logo until 2008 and 2010 with introduction of Kinect, codenamed Project Natal until November 2010.” — Wikipedia

The logo is likely based on Bronzo, Thirstype’s popular typeface from the 1990s, with its ‘B’ modified to echo the shape of the ‘O’.

  1. This font is actually XBold: XBold Font – FFonts.net .

  2. The XBold font was made by 629Fonts in 2017, long after this logo was created. Judging from the name, it is based on the Xbox logo (not the other way around).
