A school exercise at ERACOM, Lausanne (CH). We were assigned to design an identity for the theater of our choice. I chose the Volksbühne in Berlin because I was fascinated by the majestic look of the building. The architecture inspired the magazine cover, and then the posters. The “double z” is derived from the space of the entry to the theater. It appears repeatedly across the identity as a unifying feature. As there are two locations for the Volksbühne (Tempelhof Airport for the summer, and the main building at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz from October), the program comes in two parts.
