Exhibition graphics by Raw Color for the exhibition De Etende Mens (The Eating Human) in the Premselahuis in Eindhoven, 2012. Curated by designer/researcher Marije Vogelzang & artist Koos Flinterman, De Etende Mens explores food & design and food & technology.

Few people are aware of the difference designers make to our experience of eating and their potential role in organising the food chain and helping us to understand issues around what we eat. The exhibition has different rooms with different themes such as ‘Eating by Design’ (exploring all avenues of food design from the history of industrial production to the future of man-made proteins) and ‘Food Culture’ which showcases work by designers who concern themselves with the links between design, food, and the origins of what we eat.

Visitors are guided and informed by panels, inspired by commercial signing and supermarket shelves. Eleven different shades are applied on cnc-milled plywood. The title of the show is highlighted from behind by fluorescent tubes.
