Montréallez is a portmanteau for Montréal and allez (“go!”). Under this French name, Vélo Québec organized a series of bicycling events, including the Tour de l’Île, the Tour la Nuit, the Défi métropolitain, and Opération vélo au boulot. The English translation was RideMontréal. It was later renamed to Festival Go vélo Montréal / Go Bike Montréal Festival.

In 2010, the festival identity came in many bright colors and a multiline typeface that reminds me of Stripes. Its name is Sudoku. Designed by Ivan Hristov and released by Fontfabric in 2010, the family spans five styles. In addition to the triline style used here, there are Light (1-line), Medium (biline), Deco (biline, thick-thin), and Black (solid) variants.
