American rapper and producer Quavo, one third of the hip-hop trio Migos, simultaneously released three solo tracks in August 2018: “Lamb Talk”, “Workin Me” and “Bubble Gum”. Artworks were designed by Stole “Moab” Stojmenov, to be used for online promotion and on video platforms.
Stojmenov, working as “Moab Villain”, was already in charge of the visuals for Migos’ debut album Control II and those three single covers follow the same logic: photographies (mostly portraits, sometimes cut-out) mixed with strong typographic elements, centered on mostly plain backgrounds.
Working as a series, the artworks feature consistent elements such as the name of the artist on the top-left corner, always set in Neue Helvetica Extended. But each of them gets a special and sometimes brutal type treatment for the name of the track, with the use of curvy Nostra Stream and Motter Femina, either stretched, outlined, or both at the same time.
