Catalan separatists take to the streets during a pro-independence demonstration on September 11th, 2018, in Barcelona, Spain, marking the National Day of Catalonia, the “Diada.” Protesters sought to put on a show of strength and unity during celebrations of the region’s national day, nearly a year after Catalonia’s failed attempt to break away from Spain.
Among the numerous signs and banners was a huge “Independència” sign set in what looks like Bebas Neue, constructed with 13 separate glyphs, as if the entire crowd was marching towards a giant printing press. Note the E-grave accent that is attached to the third E.
