Ladislav Sutnar, a Czech designer born in 1897, was a pioneer in the world of infographics and catalog layouts in the 20th century. Much of his work housed at the Letterform Archive is from the 1940s to 1960s, when he was practicing design and leading the art direction at F.W. Dodge’s Sweet’s Catalog Service in the United States.
Sutnar often uses Futura in his brochures, including this brochure that advertises wire mesh window guards produced by Acorn Wire & Iron Works.
