Latin Lover is the school magazine of Södra Latin, one of the most well renowned high schools in Sweden. Celebrating an open debate and freedom of speech, the magazine’s mission is to gather students and strengthen the school spirit.
Issue #51 was the first issue of the semester of 2016–2017. To welcome new students, many of whom had recently migrated to Sweden, we wanted to say welcome in the most Swedish manner possible: with a classic Swedish princess cake! The word “welcome” is sprinkled in confectioner’s sugar in five languages – Kurdish, English, Swedish, Somali and Arabic (from above).
