Cover for Joseph Haydn’s Missa in tempore belli, also known as the Paukenmesse, recorded in England and issued by Angel Records in the United States.
The title features a rare – and not exactly convincing – example of Weiß-Initialen III in outline. The same typeface is used for the credits, here in solid red letters. The collage depicts a gothic cathedral that goes up in flames. It might be Beauvais Cathedral, but I’m not certain. If you know more about this, please leave a comment.
