“Pop-Kultur” is an international festival, held from August 21st to 23rd in 2019 at Kulturbrauerei in Berlin. The first edition happened at the Berghain in 2015, the second one in the district of Neukölln in 2016. Pop-Kultur is based on three elemental foundations:
1. live (music, talks, readings, exhibitions and films)
2. Pop-Kultur “Nachwuchs”
3. networking.

On all posters, fertig design cooks up the exact same recipe with two variables. For every poster, a different stunning space photograph is selected with a supernova, galaxy, star, or nebula as captured by the Hubble telescope, courtesy of ESA/NASA; The name of every act is set in center-aligned and skewed Le Murmure with information in Suisse Int’l Mono. The Pop-Kultur logo seems to be made with Neue Helvetica, with a K from Fette Fraktur and the year in oldstyle figures from FF Elementa, which is also used for the Pop-Kultur website

  1. Here’s how the posters are hung. Added to my Berlin Street Type Set!

  2. Fertig design have shared more pics. They write:

From the uncanny valleys of last year’s campaign we took Pop-Kultur Festival to a place as far, undiscovered and spectacular as possible: space. We visualised the festival’s search for the unknown, for interconnectivity and bright appearances within pop culture employing the unique observations of the Hubble Space Telescope, which are available in the public domain. Thus solar systems become pop universes, milky ways turn into music scenes and, obviously, stars become pop stars. In a pop cultural sense outer space functions as a limitless, egalitarian and utopian place beyond borders, nationalities and language barriers – a space open for experiments and new constellations.
