Patti Smith Group – Radio Ethiopia album art

The album design is credited to Nancy Greenberg and Patti Smith. Cover photography by Judy Linn. The back cover features a group photo by Lynn Goldsmith and text in Bodoni. At the top, there is a line of characters from the Ethiopic script also known as Geʽez, as used for the Amharic and Tigrinya languages, among others. ሬዲዮ፡ኢትዮጵያ፧ translates to “Radio Ethiopia?”. It’s not clear if this is type or lettering.
