Dolmens characteristic caps are on display in this ad for a paper company which appeared in March and April 1925 issues of Typographische Mitteilungen. Its sawtooth ‘E’s seem to echo the illustration in the company logo. The lovely unidentified type (lettering?) at the bottom is very similar to Ehmcke-Rustika but with a lower waist.

  1. The roman is Schneidler-Latein! As you know, F.H. Ernst Schneidler studied under Fritz Helmuth Ehmcke, so you were not that far off. Schneidler-Latein was recently revived by Lena Schmidt. She’ll be delighted to see this Use.

  2. Oh great, thank you! I knew I had seen it because I had such fond memories of it.
