Around the Fur is the second studio album by American alternative metal band Deftones. Just like on their debut album Adrenaline (1995) the album cover typography uses all lowercase Coronet Bold for band logo (with extra slanting) and album title. [More specifically, it appears to be Ribbon 131, Bitstream’s digitization of Coronet, see comments.] The all lowercase approach is continued on the back cover, using Aachen set in tightly spaced lines.

I’m surprised to see Coronet. I always thought it was Ribbon 131.

    2. Chances are that you are right! Bitstream’s Ribbon 131 is one of several digitizations of Coronet, a typeface originally designed by Robert Hunter Middleton in 1937 for Ludlow. Bitstream used a generic numerical name as they couldn’t obtain the rights to use the original trademarked name. But essentially Ribbon 131 is Coronet.

The various digitizations differ to varying amounts. It’s possible to tell Monotype’s Coronet MT from Ribbon 131, see this recent post. It’s trickier to tell Ribbon 131 Bold from Linotype’s Coronet LT Bold. These two fonts are based on the same source material. I made a quick comparison using the album title, and the only difference that catches my eye is the top terminal of the right stem of u, which is horizontal in Ribbon 131 Bold (top) and angled in Coronet LT Bold (bottom). As far as I can tell from the image, the Deftones cover features the former. I’ve adjusted the typeface credit. Thanks!
