Tunnel Vision brings back to life a forgotten masterpiece from French producer Bernard Otot aka A Gethsémani. Produced and self-released in 1987, Âme Triste gathers his early obscure synth-pop and dark wave works, using a Yamaha DX7 and his own material. — Tunnel Vision Records
The 2019 release by Tunnel Vision Records comes with new artwork by Clément Bertrand. His design relies on the contrast between the light Trabis (designed by Axel Pelletanche-Thévenart and available from A is for…) and Neue Haas Grotesk (made extra bold by adding some stroke). The two typefaces are linked by a blurry style, with overflowing contours that evocate the letterpress printing age. This cover features the first version of Trabis, when the A still had an top serif that has been removed since then.
