Klingspor-Kalender 1924
Each month in this edition of Klingspor’s annual chapbook calendar has a woodcut by Willi Harwerth illustrating a role in the typefounding and printing process. Shown here are the stempelschneider (punchcutter — though this translation comes with a caveat), schriftgießer (typecaster), and schriftsetzer (typesetter).
The entire calendar, including cover, is set in Tiemann-Antiqua, released the same year as the printing, 1923. Tiemann-Gotisch also appears elsewhere in the book.
Letterform Archive holds a complete collection of the Klingspor-Kalender.
