I love how there are three distinct elements here, but they are all integrated seamlessly. The drops look like they could also be feathers of the bird. And the type is layered into the drops. And on top of it all … it’s green!

The bold caps are from Martin, which was inspired by the typeface used on poster that were carried during the Memphis Sanitation Strike of 1968 and is named after Martin Luther King Jr. Martin is the work of Tré Seals, one of the still shockingly few type designers of color. In 2016, Seals launched Vocal, “a type foundry for creatives of color who feel that they don’t have a say in their industry.”
