Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders announced on Wednesday (Feb. 26) that he will be holding a rally in Los Angeles on Sunday (Mar. 1) that will feature a performance from Public Enemy. The event will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center with doors opening at 3 p.m. and the rally starting at 5 p.m.
The poster by Kii Arens uses a photo by Arun Chaudhary. Typographically, it references the Public Enemy wordmark in ATF’s Stencil which has been used by the group already on their debut releases from 1987. Here it appears without the iconic crosshairs designed by Chuck D in 1986.
The date and venue are set in caps from another stencil. It appears to be based on DIN 1451 Engschrift.
