French sampler of early recordings by Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger & the Trinity, including the 1967 hit “Tiger”, released in 1972 on Triumph Records.
The typeface is Heinz Keune’s Edda. Originally an open face, it’s shown in open and solid styles in Lettergraphics’ Letterfan (1968, as Edd Caps), in Berthold’s E1 (1974, with Facetype credits), and in Dan X. Solo’s Art Nouveau Display Alphabets (1976). Ronné Bonder had another phototype version as RB-St. Denis in solid and Outline styles. Both forms for E were used, compare “Tiger” and ”Chronicle”, for example. The big ampersand appears to be from Pistilli Roman.
