CD cover for an album by jazz pianist Ellis Louis Marsalis Jr. (1934–2020), recorded at the Orpheum Theatre, New Orleans, Louisiana, on July 24, 1986, and released by Rounder Records in 1991.

Designer Nancy Given framed the multicolored painting by John Scott with a band of caps from Eagle. Originally drawn by Morris F. Benton in 1933 for the National Recovery Administration, Eagle was revived and expanded by David Berlow of the Font Bureau from 1989 on. The combination – a range of lively colors and geometric sans serif caps with pointed vertices – is typical for the Art Deco comeback in the late 1980s and 1990s, see e.g. Carin Goldberg’s Kurt Vonnegut paperback series for Dial Press or the cover for Le Mystère Des Voix Bulgares by the same designer.
