Soteropolipunk is a project that pays homage to the anarcho punk period in Bahia, Brazil. It’s inspired by Cirque Troca de Segredos that received several rock concerts and also by publications such as Inimigo do Rei and A Plebe that were important in this context and in the dictatorial period in Brazil.

The use of Sprat (Collletttivo, 2020) was essential to reference the lettering used by the newspaper A plebe with a well contrasted serif that goes against the usual anarcho punk style, sending a message of debauchery to dictatorial power structures.

In addition, the letter O was used to create a graphic element of the brand, referring to the circus arc along with the dingbat which, in addition to referencing space, is a very common element in northeastern Brazil.
