Kunst on moos elu saiakäärul (“Art is a jam on life’s bread”) is a selection of essays originally published in art and cultural criticism movement blog website Artishok. From the Estonian Design Awards review (where the book won Bronze):
This is what happens when the designer is also an essayist and editor. The unconventional structure of the book explores the possibilities of content and context. The editor’s introduction is built up as a polyphonic, branching and conflicting storyline; the essays in the book are arranged chronologically, while the table of contents will offer different, thematically structured reading-map. There are many ways to read this print. The book begins when the texts end and will end whereas the writing begins.
Neue Helvetica Extended is used for headlines, paired with Warnock for body text.
