Three classic ATF faces on the cover for “A Jupiter Jones Mystery”, Popular Library 81, 1946. The title is set in caps from Gerry Powell’s Onyx (1936). It’s paired with Commercial Script (1906) for the author’s name. The series name and the imprint are in caps from another face by Morris Fuller Benton, ATF’s Bodoni Bold (c.1911).

The cover art is by H. Lawrence Hoffman and features a green hand – a popular trope in the mystery genre.
