Album cover for the eponymous album by Head AKA Nicolas Pascal Raicevic, released on Buddah Records in 1970. The record, featuring a cover painting by Raicevic, contains three raw extended synthesizer pieces named after drugs – “Cannabis Sativa”, “Methedrine”, and “Lysergic Acid Diethylamide”. Originally self released around 1968 by Raicevic on his own Narco label under the name 107–34–8933 and titled “Numbers”, this is the major label re-release with different artwork, title, and artist name. Pascal went on to self-release several albums of idiosyncratic synthesizer music, many of which had a sticker pasted on the cover warning “DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM IF YOU ARE STONED”.

The title typeface is Tension, a crop-and-repeat variation of Futura Bold Condensed, shown in Photo-Lettering’s One Line catalog (1971).
