A Dresden postcard from 1969. At top right is the first block of flats to be built on the new Prager Strasse. Hbf [main station] in the background.
The typeface is Amalthea with an initial swash cap. Amalthea was designed as an italic companion to Schneidler-Mediäval and first cast by the Bauer foundry in 1956, with a full set of alternate swash caps. There are various digitizations, under the original name and as italic style in the families named Schneidler or Stempel Schneidler. The only digitizations to include the swash caps are no longer available.
