Stokowski Conducts Beethoven, Symphony #3 “Eroica” / Coriolan Overture, London Symphony Orchestra, 1975.
Stripes in use for a series of three records with classical music conducted by Leopold Stokowski (1882–1977), released by RCA in 1975.
The uncredited designer followed Letraset’s advice: They joined up several letters by using alternate glyphs, and also filled in some of the eight lines, creating a rhythmic thick-thin patterns, just like Tony Wenman had envisioned in his “new concept in type design”. Note how these patterns vary from cover to cover. The initial and final letters get hyper-extended. The round O is a custom addition, probably introduced as reference to records. Several other glyphs seem to be made by repurposing and combining existing letterform parts, e.g. the lowercase a in “Bach” appears to be built from Q and something else, the H is two straight stems (like the numeral 1) with a horizontal bar, etc. Secondary text is set in ITC Ronda.

The A in BACH seems to be a mix of the main O and the first alternate O in the original set.
