The African American Design Nexus (AADN) is a virtual collection launched by The Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD) in May 2019.

From Tony Leone Design LLC:

The African American Design Nexus seeks to create a canon of African American designers from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. The platform showcases their craft, explores different geographies of design practice, and strives to inspire change within design institutions to participate in adopting new approaches to elevate black designers.

We were tasked with helping the core team at the GSD conceive and create a compelling, interactive website and visual identity. We developed a robust, modular publication-grade website that provides a dynamic range of possibilities. The modular nature of the logo allows it to be cropped and used as patterns for a distinct identity across various screen and print media. See the site at aadn.gsd.harvard.edu

Halyard Text (Darden Studio) is used for the logo. On the website, the sans serif is paired with GT Super Text (Grilli Type).
