Loose Cannon is a collaborative project by two Norwich-based MA Curation students Stephen Gombakomba and Natasha Ling. It is not to be viewed as a collective in the traditional sense and more as a creative medium for two multidisciplinary artists and curators with works in music, fashion and more. The definition of a ‘loose cannon’ is what we want to channel through our works and this means that we can test out ideas without classifying ourselves. Collins English Dictionary, 2020 defines a loose cannon as

a person or thing that appears to be beyond control and is potentially a source of unintentional damage“

On the 31st of August 2020, Loose Cannon is doing a live broadcast of carnival-inspired music and genres that stem from them and this will be streamed through their website. These posters were designed to go along with the livestream in celebration of blackness in the United Kingdom specifically the culture brought over by the Windrush generation.
