FF Attribute Text in use for the cover and interior of Mikrodystopies by François Houste, a collection of Twitter fiction by French author François Houste:

Digital Oulipo? Technical haikus? Cybernetic aphorisms? The Mikrodystopies are the product of the exercise in style which François Houste engaged in: writing and disseminating on Twitter complete stories in no more than 280 characters.

The book was designed by Nicolas Taffin (who also made the photographic illustrations in the book interior) and Sophie Harris, using FF Attribute Text by Viktor Nübel. In the colophon they describe it as “one of the most beautiful typefaces when it comes to ‘faux monospaced fonts’ which takes the shapes of characters with the constant spacing of computer terminals, themselves inherited from typewriters. By adding a little proportionality, the faux monospaced preserves legibility. A typical hybridization of our early days of the 21st century.”

170 pages, 13,5×21 cm. Published by CF éditions.
