Wine label design for the Sebestyén Winery from the wine region Szekszárd, Hungary. This small family winery led by a brother and sister duo asked us to create a series of redesigned labels for some of their most popular wines. Our aim was to create a very clean and easy, yet attention-grabbing and playful design that we felt fits best for the characteristics of their wines.

We thought the Kessler typeface from Production Type would fit perfectly into this concept with its clean and classical characteristics. The visual system that we devised – based on organic shapes from nature – creates a nice balance with the typeface, too. Every label features one the the winery’s foundational values, symbolised through natural elements of the vineyard and the region. The colours of the main abstract forms reflect on the flavours and characteristics of each wine, while the transparent shapes give a little extra touch to the final outcome. By combining different printing finishes, we wanted to create an elegant packaging with a strong character.
